Wow, I've never seen anyone use a photo for such abstract inspiration - it's like looking at the clouds and trying to see things in their shapes.
I'll have to try this in the future. Thank you for this great idea!

you know when you see ceramic, or soil? you see shapes, or even your grandma's face.

it's because your brain keep maping them as pics! inspiratioon, they're everywhere. see H2o molecules? all that circles/ you're drinking mickey mouse heads. :rofl:

That is amazing, I love looking at random things and seeing what my imagination comes up with. I do it more often by staring at the ceiling though lol

Oh this is an awesome tutorial. Using an image for basic inspiration on scene composition is such a good idea! It's like how you can often imagine scenes from the random pattern of colours in tiles made from natural stone. For example there's more than one dragon hidden in the tiles in my bathroom.

And a two-headed bat. O.o

AHHH EEEP this is amazing!! I love how that trashed car actually almost looked like the dragon, so awesome!!
